my fish are happy! and breeding:dance:
and the water quality is perfect....

BUT sometimes I feel they are not getting enough food.
They are up and down the tank, eating from the glass, looking in the sand - always searching for food.

Does this mean they are hungry? I dont' want to starve them.

What kind of fish? My African Cichlids ALWAYS act hungry. I stick to my feeding schedule either way. I give them a pinch and a half of NLS pellets, I have some juvies in the tank so sometimes I crush them a little and throw the pellets in.

For my 20g community I will feed them a moderately sized pinch of flake food. This is plenty of food, but the fish will continue to act hungry. If they see me outside of the tank, they almost always swim up to the top for me to feed them.

my fish are exactly the same.

I have angelfish. And when I walk towards the tank, they get excited!
I view the tank several times a day, so they can sense food coming.

so my question is... do I feed them extra?
or stick to my schedule of 1-2 times day (morning and night).

I would just stick to your scheduel. Fish would beg for food and eat until the exploded, or at least I think they would.
