I am running a limestone airstone in my tank 24/7 since the new setup three weeks ago.
my cold tap water is:
ph 7.2-7.4
kh 7-125ppm
chuck says co2 levels are:
at 7.2 - 13.25 at 7.4 - 8.36
my hot tap water is:
ph is 7.4-7.6 around there, sample only goes up to 7.6
kh is the same at 7
so based on this the only thing that is changing is ph and the co2 levels based on that are from 13.25 to lower 5.0 so are these levels big enough to cause BBA or is it that before I never did dose anything but a few drops of kent potassium drops every week?
last check a few days ago was:
amm .10 do to plant matter dieing off
nitrite 0
nitrate 15 to 25
phosphate 0.5 to 2.0
