How to Feed Peas?

I'm going to buy some frozen peas today to give to my guppies and cory cat. What's the best way that you've fed them? I've seen mashed up, and I've seen defrosted and then just shelled.

I just nuke for a minute, let them cool and then squeeze them into the tank like tiny tubes of toothpaste.
