Hello! I am looking for things to put in my tank since it is a little empty and didn't want to sink 35$ on store bought driftwood. I was wondering how I can make it safe for my aquarium and where the best spot to find a piece would be. Thanks for any help!

Any water source would be a good place to start, though it'll be kinda like an easter egg hunt. Once you do find some of your liking just put it in a pot an let it sit on a low boil for 10- 20 minutes. That should kill anything which would harm your tank.

Thank you! Boiling is a good idea. Would you know if any pieces may come loose and float about in my tank?

I'm setting up a freshwater tank currently which will have some driftwood I scavenged earlier last summer. I'm gonna try to plant some algie on it.

Thank you! Looks like I have some scavenging to do.
