Aquarium Advice Newbie
Still in the process of setting up my tank -- attached all the plumbing, filled it with RO/DI water, ready to add salt. Just a slight problem with noise.
The tank is a 75g AGA with built-in overflow box. I have 1" PVC pipe carrying the water from the overflow into the sump, where it discharges below the water level. So, I've eliminated any splashing noise. BUT, the sound of the water flowing thru the pipe itself is very noticable, and once in a while I hear a gurgling sound, like water going down a bathtub drain. I *think* this could be due to air coming down the pipe (bubbles come out the discharge, usually small with some fat ones interspersed).
Any suggestions on how to cut the noise down?
