I have a small naso tang that had developed ick. Wondering if anyone has actually been successful in using this method. I would prefer not to use copper, but if I have too I will.
Either works, but you have to be accurate with both too. Hypo with a hydrometer versus a refractometer could give inaccurate readings. I prefer hypo, as it is more "natural". Copper is harsh.
Hypo and copper are the only two remedies that work but to do hypo you need to get a refractometer because it has to be very accurate. I"ve used both with great success but personally I prefer copper. I use cuprimine which is not as harsh as most other coppers and following the directions there shouldn't be any ill effects.
