I need a new stand

I have had my Tenacor 125 acrylic tank for 11 years, and the stand that came with it is beginning to show signs of wear. I have done some repair work on the canopy, but don't think the pressboard stand is going to be able to be fixed. I am thinking about a steel support system, and then build a nice cabinet around it. Does anyone have any experience with this kind of stand? The one I'm looking at is tubular square steel, and would have a top of plywood and then some sort of styrofoam for leveling. I would love to be able to make my own stand from wood, but I think to make it sturdy enough, I would not have room for my filter, RO unit, and other stuff underneath. Any info would be appreciated.
