I had a pr of blue rams and gold rams. My female blue got ill or something. Her gills got real puffy was breathing heavy and she lost all her colors. So I though it was the male picking on her and moved her to my 75 gal tank. She lived for about a week. Now my male gold ram is showing all the signs of the blue that I moved into her tank except no puffy gills. He is breathing heavy, hides and not active. He is usually king of the tank. I did a water change. Only 10 gal. water perimeters are right where they should be. I do have high PH and yes I know that rams don't like it. But if u live in FL u know we have hard water. I belong to a group who bred rams in the hard water. So I'm not sure what is going on with them. The male blue ram is well he lives in the 55 gal. (im going to have to get him another female. And the female who lives in the 75 is doing good also. Any info will be of help.
