i think my cichlid is carrying...

I have a yellow mbuna cichlid and a week ago I noticed it was hiding behind the filter and when I fed my african cichlids it would go towards food but not eat it. I also seen it had a very small bulge under its neck. I thought it was carrying but its been a week and the bulge hasn't gotten any bigger. Could it still be carrying and if so how long til there's fry. Non of my fish have carried before I've only had them 6 months. The are all 2-3 inches.

Mouth brooders usually wont eat and you will see the male start to make caves and be protective of the female. It usually takes 21 days or more for fries to develop and mom will either spit them out or hold in mouth depends

Will her neck get bigger? Its barely noticeable now thats where my concern is. It hasn't changed in a week

It depends on how many fry she is holding
