I'm pretty much a newbie to salt water and can't even come close to figuring out what this can be.

It's a fuzzy cocoon looking thing. About the size of a large grape. Anyone know? Thanks in advance!

Another picture of something emerging on some live rock that's 3-4 weeks old:

Anyone have any suggestions on how to figure out what this is? Any creatures that might live in there?

The fuzzy thing is probably a sponge. Harmless filter feeder. But what are you referring to in the second pic?

Thanks! On the second picture, the three main pieces were all in question. It's all part of a really vibrant live rock that must have 20 different organisms that we can't identify. It's crazy!

Time to research tunicates! :)

Below is the piece of live rock that we love so much.
