Hi all. Currently have a 35ga bow front with live sand and live rock. Shrimp, 1 sand shifting sea star, shrimp, 5 fish (although 1 is MIA for 3 weeks) and a bunch of snails. Had the whole thing about 6 months now.

So about 2 or 3 weeks ago I noticed all these tiny white dots all over the glass. Too small to photo. So looked like they had little “legs” but I didn’t see anything moving.

Today I did see a hand full of things moving around AND something I can o lay describe as a tiny starfish.

Any idea what they are? Good or bad for tank? No idea how they would have gotten in the tank to begin with.

Copepods and an asterina starfish both are harmless and add good diversity to the tank. Plus pods are a great food source for your fish
