Identify Rainbowfish

Was sold as a red rainbowfish. It doesn't look very red. Any ideas, does it just need to color up? Do you think it really is a red rainbowfish or another species?

From pics does look like a red.
A head on shaot to see if there is a stripe right down the middle might help others.
I have seen this fish(the only fish) change sex from "whatever'" to opposite (not so unusaull and thinking male to female) and then back again I think(that is the ??? part).
Great fish one of my all time fav bows!

If it is a red rainbowfish do you think it will start becoming red? I have had this fish for almost a year now and it hasn't looked very red.
