If a plant gets holes in it on the leaf is it possible for the leaf to grow back

If a leaf gets holes in it on a plant can the leaf grow back to be a normal leaf again?

I’m not aware of it - my impression was not possible and never seen it in tank. Be great if leaves could.

Not that I've ever seen. Best to just fix whatever caused the problem and then trim the leaf to stimulate new growth.
