I have 3 (what I believe to be) Odessa barbs. Two look like this first image and the one looks like the latter image. Those are actually my fish lol. I plan to get more tomorrow but need to know what gender to get to complete the school. I removed (what I believe to be the male) from the 55 gal tank cause he was antagonizing the other two 24/7 so he's alone in a 10 right now. But now the other two (what I believe to be females) are nipping each other a lot. I'm confused on how to fix this issue and what the male female ratio should be, and if these are the genders I think they are? Thanks so much.

I have this one..male? Image - TinyPic - Free Image Hosting, Photo Sharing & Video Hosting
And 2 of these, female? Image - TinyPic - Free Image Hosting, Photo Sharing & Video Hosting

Thanks again.
Also in this tank are 2 blood parrot cichlids.

****I posted this once with no replies and am seeking any advice please and thank you!!****

Cant see your pictures, but will say that in general, barbs are nippy little fish, so you will have a bit of aggression regaurdless of gender. To lower it you just need to make the school larger. You'll want atleast 8 in the entire school, more females if you really want to do it that way, but male:female ratio really isnt too important with barbs unless you want them to breed.

As mentioned, barbs have a heirachy/ pecking order when in an aquarium which is kept in place with behaviour that can appear boisterous at times; however, in an adequete school this behaviour rarely does any damage to the fish. Barbs are fantastic fish. All the best.
