Ok i have a zebra moray eel arriving in the uk tomorrow evening from sri lanka.

Now my question is this. Obviously the eel would have been in the bag for the entire journey. Unfortunately i dont have a quarantine tank so thats not an option. I want to know the best way to acclimatise him to my tank water, i thought about dripping but am worried that it would be too slow a process given the amount of water in the bag and the fact it will be high in ammonia.

The other thing i thought about doing is putting him in some ro water with a parasite treatment and discarding the water in the bag straight away as that will be stressing him out and may cause ammonia burns.

No what treatment do i use? And how long do i leave him in there for?

Can you use mealafix as a treatment?
Or does anyone have any other suggestions?

Any help would be great thanks.
