Since neither of my tanks are planted. I have a 29g soon to be sold, but I still need to set up and cycle the new 55g. My fish do produce a lot of poo and I will be having rocks and other decor. What plants would be best for a 55g community tank? Thanks in advanced~

Depends on your lighting. There are plants from low light to high light that will need CO2. I have a factory setup and I'm growing anubias, crypts, water sprite and java fern.

Anubias, java fern and java moss would be your easiest and less demanding.

Here's what I did for a very low tech, low light set up. Using the light strips your tank came with, go to walmart or a close hardware store, get the 6500k daylight bulb that fits your strips and install them. 6500k is the spectrum plants like, the wattage will be low, but the plants I mentioned don't need high light, CO2 or anything fancy. Just attach them to a rock or some DW and let them do their thing.
