In-Sump Pump Isolation

Anything I can do to make my return pump run a little quieter? It's an Eheim 1260 sitting directly on the bottom of the sump. Are there any pads that are safe to have in the water?

You could try a small piece of foam or rubber.

Yeah, I thought about using a piece of the foam pad for my wife's elliptical machine. Just wasn't sure of it was okay to have that in the tank.

I use a piece of plane Jane foam for my 90. Just remember to clean it out every now and then.

I had the same problem but changed out all my PVC for 3/4" hose now it whispers.
