It's funny how fissidens spreads, unlike other mosses it doesn't really creep, it seems like it spreads by spore, even underwater. I have a piece of wood in my 10th gallon that has a thin green carpet, I was going to scrub it off until I found they were tiny fissidens sprouts.

I thought I'd killed my Fissidens. I found a bit free floating in a corner. Trying it on some driftwood
