I have a 65-gal FOWLR tank that has been stable for several years now. Recently I noticed some interesting inhabitants on my live rocks:
1. Yellow ball sponges - about a half dozen, all (that I can see) on one rock.
2. Little (apparent) filtering worms that extend white filtering fronds ~ 1/2" from their encasements, that look like deer antlers - I have three of these that I can see.
3. Tinier (apparent) filtering worms that build skinny,stick-like tubes tipped by tiny white spots that are probably their filtering fronds - these are all over my rocks.
I've uploaded photos of these to my album. Curious for comments.
BTW I have hundreds of tiny snails now - obviously one of the species I introduced last year is reproducing!
