Iodine in Tank?

I was told by a friend of mine, that if I wanted to check my tank to see if there was any ich left in my tank that I could put about three drops of iodine in it and the ich bacteria would change color(to that of the iodine) and I would know if I still had ich. Is this true????

I don't think that's a good idea at all. If I were you just check the fish over for ich and if you can't see any then you might be okay. Just make sure it never comes back lol!
