Is it safe to put TWO breeding pairs of angelfish in a 65 gallon tank?

I currently have 2 angelfish (breeding pair).

I was wondering if I could add another 2 angelfish (breeding pair) to the tank.

hence 4 angelfish in total?

You could, but odds are they'll pester one another constantly, even when they aren't spawning. I know that the times I've tried it, one male would consider himself the alpha and defend his mate from the other angels 24/7. The female would just swim around calmly and the male would follow her and beeline to any other angels in his sight.

I did have one group that grew up together that worked out pretty good, they even had a trio one time where 3 fish were fanning and guarding the same set of eggs.
