Is it worth it.

Well I have a extra air pump and air tubing and was thinking about making a air stone. I've heard mixed things about them and was wondering is it truly worth it to have one in the tank. Please let me know what you think.

I've never seen the need to run one unless you need more surface movement for better gas exchange.

Yup. If your filter agitated the surface enough then there is no need. It certainly won't hurt but not completely necessary

Hello Fish...

Unless you really like the bubble effect, your tank doesn't need an air stone. Other than possibly looking pretty, the little bubbles contribute next to nothing to the tank.
