Is live rock dead and what to do with cycling rock ???

I received 45 lbs a 1 1/2 weeks before the other45. ordered 90 lbs. . I have 55 gl sw tank starting.
Cycled with first 45 pounds lost most color and coral line algae No ammonia in tank pretty high nitrites. (The bad one). Lol. In tank.
Still ammonia in second batch. Of live rock. (That is in 30 gl Rubbermaid ) How and what can I do to save coralline algae ? Water changes on both twice a week.

Don't worry about it, just cycle your tank. Your nitrites are high so you are getting closer to the end. Also, get all of the rock in there and cycle all of it at once. No reason to double your wait time...

Put one new rock in. Pic on the way. Old n new.

It will come back. The only thing that matters during a cycle is finishing the cycle.
