Is my Molly Changing Color?

My Dreamcicle molly is normally very white on top of head to the dorsal fin. I recently noticed it was very dark grey there so I was going to isolate it and after chasing it around for a while it turned back to its original light shade. Is this possible??? She's really fat because they never stop eating they eat Pleco pellets and Cory pellets.

My grandmother had a tank of black dolls that all simultaneously turned orange over night... then proceeded to jump out of the tank and kill themselves. I was like 6 at the time so I have NO IDEA what caused it LOL

I did some reasherched and noticed the dark spot in front of her anal fin. She's very pregnant maybe that had something to do with the greying effect.
