Is PVC and PVC cement alright to use?

I'm going to need to run some pvc for my setup. Is regular PVC and PVC cement alright to use. Or is there something better and safer to use?

Regular pvc is great, and the cement is fine as well. Just make sure the pvc cement is ok for drinking water. Most are, but it does not hurt to ask.

You will be fine. I ran extensive PVC connections to my tank to handle automatic tank drain downs and refills. It is safe, non-toxic and made for potable water. 8)
