Hello all. This is my first saltwater tank and I have a question. The system has been running for about 4 weeks. A little after I added my first fish, I noticed brown algae growing on my live rock and sand. I assumed it was diatoms because it soon went away. However, there is new algae growing on my LR but I'm not sure if it is ok to be there or if it is disrupting my system.

I actually kind of like the look of it, but I need to know if it is bad for the fish in there. I have two ocellaris clowns and two peppermint shrimp in there. Please help.

Sorry, I thought I attached a picture. Here it is:

Hi there
It's hair algae it's not good you need to try to get rid of it otherwise it will spread all over your tank you could try adding a Phos remover more frequent water changes or get something to graze on it this will help keep it under control also you could try increasing the circulation
