Is this java moss?

I have had this pice of driftwood for awhile now and started to see this and I was wondering if it Is java moss that is thriving

I don't think it's Java moss. Where did you get the wood, did you collect it yourself?

I found it at a lake several months ago.

I pulled some moss up from my lawn way back. And it looks great! I didn't know if it was aquatic or not. But it has been growing. It is in the back in this photo. I call it my mystery moss.
