Why not right? I've seen a few success stories here and there. Show us what you've done with these leds:)
I've got the 20 tall and the 7.5 rimless lit with a planted plus.

Gorgeous! What's the fish in the second photo? They are beautiful. I have the Finnex Stingray and is working great for me! I'll try to get a photo posted when I'm on my computer again.

My 29g planted. This is my 1st tank ever. I have the Finnex stingray, Flourish Excel dosing daily along with needed fertilizers.

Tank before trimming this week.

Tank after removal of about 2/3 of the water lettuce and most of the sword runners with babies.

Thanks for this thread. Im looking into getting 2- 48" planted plus for my 125gl build. This may have sold me. Any thoughts on whether 2 is enough or should i go 3?

Honestly just one on my 75g still causes GSA on my glass and rocks.

Just depends what your goals are and how much light you're looking to have. You could also look into something like a BML light.

Ahhhh. My local ( if you can call it local) club is having a workshop on diy L.E.D's.

Jealous. I can do most any DIY project, but LED's and electrical projects intimidate me and I cannot justify spending big coin on a light setup for a tank. So I'm stuck using factory lights and hoods. Jealous of you finnex folks!

Here's my 5g hex with the stingray. I'm loving this little light

Would you consider a 30 inch finnex planted + on a 20g long a high or medium light setup?
