High tech gets much better results, if you are willing to spend the time and money on CO2, ferts, and trimming plants. The algae only comes if the light is very high and the plants arent getting enough nutrients through ferts and CO2

Not at all. I just don't have the money or interest in going that route. Done right High Tech tanks are amazing !
