what else can go in a fresh water tank apart from fish? e.i. crabs? shrimp? hermit crabs?
whats the best and how much do animals like this usualy cost?

In some freshwater tanks you could add cherry shrimp for algae eaters depending on tank size for every ten gallons about 5 cherrys at my lfs it's about 75 cents each or you can do fiddler crabs but they sometimes will catch your fish and kill them

fiddler crabs are brackish and semiterrastrial,so no good for most aquariums.you can get several creatures for a freshwater aquarium that are fully aquatic.shrimp, crayfish, frogs, and 2 varietys of crabs i know of,panther crabs and thai micro crabs.the frogs are african dwarf frogs.crayfish may eat your fish, but it depends on there personality and how well fed they are.

oh,also,i suggest you dont put ADFs in with fish, they have very bad eyesight snad have trouble finding food, even by themselves.
