Keeping apistos with angelfish?

Is this possible? I know both of these guys can be a little fiesty, but I really would love to keep both of these fish. Problem is I only have one tank big enough for them right now (46g)!

So my question is should I wait to get to set up another tank to get an Apistogramma cacatoides, or could I keep it with a single angelfish in a 46g?

That'd be fine, the apistos will stay low while.the angel will take the upper regions. That's actually a great tank for what you're wanting to do.

I have a pair of Rams with my pair of Angels and they are all cool with each other. Then again it might just be my fish. I've never seen my angels go after anything even the tiny espei rasboras

I have a pair of CAC with my pair of angels and they never interact, even when the other pair is breeding and aggressive. Go for it. They share the same parameter requirements and are from around the same area in nature.
