Kelsey's new pico :D

The friendliest place on the web for anyone with an interest in aquariums or fish keeping!
If you have answers, please help by responding to the unanswered posts.
None of the other corals got it yet thank goodness, my frogspawn might now though since I freshwater dipped the rock it is on to catch the crab. I got it eventually but it took a long time, he was stubborn. I even had to add some coral rx to the fresh water to get him out. A few polyps are lost for sure but my sponge, frogspawn, and other polyps look better today. Pics Later!

Oh I forgot to mention that I also removed a vermetid gastropod snail/worm thing. Looked like this

(this is not my photo)

I thought the thing was pretty annoying with it's stupid web but I never thought the web could irritate the corals, it probably aided in the green brain getting the brown jelly since it's web was all over it before. I just broke the shell and pulled it right out :)

eewww that's pretty gross. lol

Glad you got it out of there though, how is the brain coral doing now?

Well the green one was toast as you can see in the picture haha but the multicolored one I'm not sure, it kind of looks like half of it is still dying and like half of it is puffy, poor thing.

Updateeee :)

Everything is doing well, I added the two baby cardinals to the pico and they seem to be growing well and my pod population has certainly reduced, they like to eat them off the glass. The babies are still not fully on prepared foods though which kind of worries me. I added a third porcelain crab which paired up with the one hosting the anemone right away, they've had a love hate relationship, together some days and apart on other days. I also added two more sexy shrimp after the third crab (one male and one female) and they have actually fought off the crabs and now host the anemone. My old largest female is also carrying eggs now!! exciting :) I will try to find time to post pictures soon, I also took a video or two so will need to upload those to youtube.

I know the pictures are from a couple months ago, but great looking tank you have there! I like the coral

oops sent too soon haha

**I am currently uploading quite a few new pics to photobucket right now and then afterwards hopefully get the video uploaded (internet is so slow sometimes!)

*also just realized I could have just edited that other post...oh well haha

Thanks! I'm hoping the female sexy has her eggs soon! I just found a dime sized blob of what looks like empty egg shells, no idea where it came from :S The female sexy still has her eggs as far as I can tell....

I wish the cardinals would stay really tiny, they are the perfect pico fish, always out and about.

That's sooo beautiful!!! I love the sexy shrimp on the anemone! Who would have thought that such tiny creatures could be so courageous!
