I have a diy beer bottle bubbler I made years ago. Just a simple brown bottle(removed labels) with a hole drilled in the bottom for the air tube to fit in, bubbles come out the top. I want to try a wine bottle while leaving the labels on. Obviously I would need to water proof them first. I've read alot of people use "krylon fusion" clear coat to water proof decorations. Does anybody here have any experience with this stuff and do you think it will it stick to the glass bottle enough to protect the label?

get some 400 and 600 grit sand paper. lightly sand around label and entire bottle. When you spray it do two lite coats, rub with 0000 steel wool, then two more coats. Any scratches will disappear when you clear it. If you are drilling the bottom, do that last. The clear will protect the label if you use a water based cooling fluid.

Thanks for the tip! I'll give it a try when I get the supplies.
