Is anyone using LEDs to light up their nano reef tank? If so, what kind & power? Thanks.

Yes, but mine are the factory JBJ LED's, not aftermarket.

25 x 3w 14K daylight
4 x 3w dawn/dusk
2 x 1w moonlights

I have a Kessil LED in ocean blue. LOVE IT! And I have LPS, SPS, soft and an anemone that all seem happy. And I love the shimmer effect.

Corals are doing great under these lights..... got a little bit of everything from mushrooms, zoas, palys, ricordeas, finger leather, green star & yellow polyps, LPS (candy, trumpet, acan), and SPS (birdsnest & a few M. digitatas).

Hey Beengirl, what size tank do you have & how many Kissels are you rockin?

Mine is a 55g corner tank, so I only have 1 cuz it's not a big footprint. The whole tank is well lit with the one. If you have a rectangular tank, you'll probably need 2. My tank is open top, so I have it on a swan-neck holder that I ordered with it. Love it.
