A few days ago the lighting switch on my fish tank
started malfunctioning. It will no longer stay on.
Can i replace the switch or repair it somehow?

Depends on the fixture. Can you post a picture of it?
When I had the standard fluorescent fixture, the starter would sometimes need to be replaced. They are inexpensive and can be found in most hardware stores.

Unfortunately, I have no clue how to upload images.
But the switch is on the side of the tank.

Is it a fluorescent, incandescent, or LED fixture?

The fixture is the standard fixture that came with the tank/

You could try replacing the starter. It looks like these:

Oops, correction. I just looked in the tank
and it looks like an LED fixture.

If it’s an LED, then I have no idea. You might try contacting the manufacturer.
