live rock?

I would like to add more rocks to my 90 gal tank.
This is a 6 years old tank full of corrals and some fish.
I got some dead live rock on kijiji that I boiled for 4 hours, brushed
rinsed and let dry. Or would I be safer if I purchase some live rock from my fish store.

I think the dead rock would be fine. Shouldn't cause a cycle and will eventually become live from the existing rock.

Nothing wrong with dead rock but it should eventually become live rock so I would just go ahead and buy more live rock.

you are probably safer adding the rock you have, than uncured rock from the lfs. that said, one or two pieces not amounting to much compared to the rest of your rock isn't going to effect the parameters too much.

Just add the rock you have. Maybe just add a piece or two at a time to be on the safe side.
