Hey I was thinking about buying some love rock from a guy from Craigslist, do u think that it would be safe

Well, inspect the rock first. It may have aipstasia or hair algae growing on it.

Look for bristle worms and pods. My only concern is that the guy may have used copper based meds in the tank with the rock. If so, there won't be any living inverts.
