I have a breeding pair of angelfish in a 29g tank. It has a sand substrate and I've read about dead zones. I've also read that MTS can help prevent those by burrowing in the sand. Is that true? Also would the snails eat the angelfish eggs? Thanks in advance!

I have heard that most snails will only eat dead/unhealthy eggs, but that might not be with trumpet snails. Not sure about the burrowing.

They do burrow and help out stirring up your sand bed, keeping it clean, and loosening the sand around plant roots so fertilizers can be taken in more easily.

I have heard that they will eat your fish eggs, it'd be best to have a breeding tank without anything else in it if you want a successful go.
