Not much has happened recently due to work ect but added a few new editions this evening

2 x rainbow acans and got my old Tracky back

They are still moody at minute but this is how the tracky looked back when I use to have it

Note the snail beside it gives you a perspective of its size !!!

Got up this morning having an actual day of work I decided to head to the LFS as I want to add a lot more LPS and thin the SPS out a bit.

I came away with

Purple tip Cataphillia
2 x Gonipora
11 acans
Wall hammer
2 x branching hammers
2 x torch corals
Red gorgonian

This has filled some of the spare space I had but still space for more here is a few pictures most are still moody though.

Nice pick ups! I'm a sucker for a nice acan. I've been thinking of going back to mostly LPS as well, but that's to be determined later. Right now I'm about 50/50 LPS/SPS.

My reason for changing back is time my new job I spend between 70/80 hours a week + at work and LPS are far more forgiving I have a dosing system on the tank which helps a lot with keeping everything in check.

Having another day of work would be rude not to visit another LFS and this time I come away with a red Gonipora and another acan colony bottom left in first picture not fully out yet.

I've annoyed the one on left when I moved it to get red one in


All other corals have settled well and managed to get a decent picture of my mystery wrass had him about a year but hard to get a picture of him as he so quick

Very cool! Is that light teal coral a digitata? Nice shot.

Thanks yes it is the colour has dropped a bit at minute as other half been looking after tank and decided them poor hungry fish needed 3 meals a day and nitrates have creeped up but have done a waterchange and another should bring it back into check

Today having a day of work it was time to pull out some of the SPS to allow more room for LPS.

I've had a bit of a move round with some of the LPS but will add some more after Christmas to fill the gaps.

The Gonipora are loving it and the Clowns also loving them

A new edition today a Frogspawn as needed something for that shelf I think it fits perfectly it's not fully out yet hard to see in picture but 1 head is blue the others green

Anyone know a good diet for tangs this one getting huge haha

How are the flower pot corals? I want to pick one up for my tank but I have read they are difficult to keep alive with out tons of work.

The Goniporas are not that bad I just add oyster eggs ect to fish food and broadcast feed and use A + B for amino's ect

Ok so that helps me, I need to remember to broadcast feed. I got zoo plankton recently and tried to spot feed my coral. It did not go well. My frogspawn is not happy, but doing better, same with my Duncan.

Only things i target feed are my Duncans and acans and I use Fauna Marin LPS pellets have recently started using them and the response was great

Ah, I used the zooplankton because my shrimp steal anything that will fit in their claws.

I use a long baster and leave it near the acans which keep my shrimp away or I give them a bit of mussel that keeps the shrimp busy while I feed the corals

That fauna marin LPS is is legit. My colors love it.
