Mid-Cycle Question

We are in the process of upgrading from a 55gal to a 125gal.
Our 125 is about mid way through the cycling process. If we wait to put all of the LR in the new tank at once will die-off cause another ammonia spike? Should we move half now and half when we're ready to move fish? Does it matter at all?

If the LR is from the 55 then there should be no dieoff. If it's new LR, then you could expect a spike or mini-cycle.

I would suggest you use about 180 lbs of LR for a 125. Normal is 1.5 x your tank size.
