I am new to aquarium advice but am posting because one of my balloon mollies has a small patch of raised scales and a missing scale (I think). It is only on one side and doesn’t look like dropsy. All of the perimeters are fine and am treating for fin rot for my tetras. I am at a loss and would be devastated if I where to lose her. Please help! (Did the file photos work?)

Okay I will, but what will it do? Also, oN the internet it saidI could do a salt dip, should I do that or dose the tank? Also how much and will it hurt my snails, shrimp, and other fish? (I don’t have a hospital tank so I would have to dose the entire tank)Just curious, I’m still a newbie

umm sorry i hav no idea but if you get some aquarium salt there is instructions of how much to use oer gallon etc. Also you can probably just google if its bad for shrimp and snails but i dont think it is

Ok thanks. A friend told me it was stress and an injury and I should try a antibiotic

Fish can get stuck/damaged by your furniture, creating this wounds..u probably want to reduce the amonia and use some general "fish skin" growth medication. Like API or Seachem brands.

One of her own fry has been chasing her around so I removed him and just ordered some medication
