Mombasda lion losing eye appendage

I have an 8-9 month old (6 inches) long Mombassa lion. He is acting pretty normal ( great appetite and quite the beggar) but I noticed today that one if his eye appendages is shriveled up and just floating around. It's hard to see in the pic, but it's still there. Is this anything to be concerned about? Will it grow back?

Don't know why it happens but my volitan lost one completely but it's grown back now
