Hello!

We are in the process of moving into a new house and we're wondering if anyone has advice on how to move our fish tank!

We have a 20 gallon tank with one dwarf gourami, a few zebra danios, two corys and a plecco.

Our initial thought was to transfer our fish to a temporary container filled with their aquarium water, and have a 1/3 filled tank to physically move. We plan to do it all in one shot (limit time our fish are in a temporary bin).

Any advice is welcome!

Thank you

Siphon off 1/2 (10g+) the water. Nice clean stuff to put back in after the move.

Now siphon off another 1/4 (6g) trying to clean the bottom gunk out as much as possible....water plants they love this stuff.

This should leave 4g in the tank or so.

I have tipped mine and slipped a board underneath. Then we carried the whole thing to its new home and slid it off.

Add your initial water back in and refill the more conditioned water.
