So, after a shaky start (thanks to knowing nothing about cycling or tanks in general) I'm proud to say that I think I'm learning really fast and here's my tank stock & pictures:

1 x female dwarf gourami (my male died after jumping out of the tank while I was checking my paramaters, unfortunately my cat noticed before I did and my gorgeous Jones didn't make it :-( )
3 x fancy guppies (one of my housemates kids dumped them in there when I was at work)
4 x platys but I think one may be a sword x platy, 3 female, 1 male
4 x striped kuhli loaches
3 x golden apple/mystery snails
And somewhere between 7 - 12 shrimp - originally there were 10 glass shrimp and 2 rcs.

I also have a tonne of plants, some of which I don't know the name of. So here's my tank and Frank the godfather of the tank!

Your tank looks great! The plants look very healthy. That snail looks like it is the size of a baseball!

Thanks guys! Things have changed a bit now though... I did a full rescape today.

Also the swordtail female and the 3 male guppies have gone to a new home. I've added a few plants and I think it looks pretty good now!

Oh & Frank is about halfway between golf ball and baseball size!

So here we go:
