Help! Mystery growth on driftwood PHOTO

Hello! I'm brand new to the forum, and about 6 months into the hobby. I have a 30 gallon with platys, mollies, and dwarf loaches, and a 12 gallon fry tank with some panda corydoras in it.

The other day I noticed this odd growth in my fry tank. This photo shows 3 of them attached to the driftwood, but there are more elsewhere on my driftwood. They look like tiny gray tulips with yellow centers. I don't know what this is - snail, anemone, fungus? Anyone know? I don't want my fry to be in danger. Much appreciated!!

In case anyone searches this forum with a similar question, I wanted to give an update. I failed to mention in my original post that I had Assassin snails. These turned out to be assassin snail eggs, and now I have scores of baby assassins! So, mystery solved! :)
