Only have to move tank few feet across wall it against but can't slide it as one side next to wall so have to pull it. Thing is it 80 gal so not goin be easy and don't want stress tank. Will empty most water out so apart from making it lighter whats best way to move it, it's a tiled floor

What does the bottom of the stand look like? Flat bottom or...?

You can try lifting the tank a little after lightening it up a bit and slide some tephlon/nylon moving pads under each leg then slide it along.

Honestly, I wouldn't try moving a larger tank with anything inside it even if it's just a few feet. Any abnormal flex in the tank could cause it to crack and that's just not worth it. Just load everything up in rubbermaid totes to empty it and then safely move it. I also wouldn't try sliding anything with legs that has any sort of weight on it. It's just not worth it to take a chance to ruin your equipment.

Should be fine with most of the water and all of the rock out. Just enough water to keep the sandbed wet.

Cheers, still got old tank so goin move fish to that and move it without water and see if its easy if not can always take apart and move it like that

Well done it, took all water out till just above sand bed and moved it little bit at time, wanted check one of the feet as wasn't level and found it had worn away so the metal bit was through the rubber so put about 5 mm of metal under it to raise it up bit, still not 100% but better than it was so goin wait till go shop and see if can get new foot or will just leave it
