I have had my tank for 4 weeks now and all of water readings are great. I just added my cleanup crew and they are all working hard with no die off yet.

Here is my question.......I am in no rush to add fish, but I really want to do an anemone with a clown. I also plan on doing other corals. Seeing how anemones will travel around the tank and possible sting other corals, do you think it is a good idea to add an anemone first and see where it finds its home and then add other corals around it?

I talked with LFS, which I trust, and he says that I am good to go with adding the anemone and clown......

Second question...if you agree with me, when would you try to add it?

Tank:
28 jbj nano
30lbs of live sand
32 of live rock
All water readings are good.

You can have your anenome but its risky. It will travel around the tank and possibly kill small fish/shrimp/other corals. Its not worth it in my opinion, but everyone starting saltwater seems to want that trademark clown/anenome combo. If it does die, it will most likely release a toxic chemical into your tank killing everything that is in there. To ensure that the anenome doesnt die as easily, you need a very established tank, about 8 months will be good for an anenome. I wish i could have one myself, but i would never take the chance.

My other question to you is, what do you have for lighting? Nems need very intense lighting and will not do well without it.

My phone is acting up. What I was trying to show is that even with the best case scenario, your setup is not fit for a nem. It isn't impossible, but the rate of success will be greatly decreased.
