Fishsticks said:He's about 2 inches, and he's hid a little but he was walking all over my live rock earlier. Really cool to watch

Are they invert safe? Like small shrimp and crabs?
Fishsticks said:The Reef Lobster is described as peaceful, and it will ignore sleeping Wrasses or healthy fish within the aquarium. Caution must be taken when incorporating into a reef aquarium, as it may harm small fish and invertebrates. All Reef Lobsters are very territorial and aggressive towards each other, so only one specimen, or a mated pair should be kept per tank.
That's what I found online. I have two emerald crabs, a porcelain crab, a horseshoe crab and a Pom Pom crab in my 30 gal reef tank. I'll let ya know how he gets along with everyone.

melosu58 said:He fends for himself. I feed enough that I`m sure he gets some. About every month I see where he molts so I know he`s still there.
MacDracor said:Fortunately, the purple reef lobster doesn't get as big as the Spiney Lobster does! Those spineys can get pretty big, but most of the varieties labelled as purple reef lobster stay under 8 inches. Still pretty big though, so watch out!
