For my 75 gallon tank I have an Oscar and a convict. Now iI'm looking for a type of catfish. I saw a lepornous at my LFS and I like them would they be alright?

Ummm...I don't know. I would say no. They get very big and are pretty active. They aren't like some cats that will just sit still a lot of the time and don't need a lot of room. They want to move around a lot and they can be very aggressive. I think a 150g would be ideal for an Oscar and a banded lepo cat. I think a syno or stripped raph cat would be a better fit for your tank.

I believe a syno eupterus would be a good choice. They can hold their own especially when your oscar gets big. Here is a pic of mine.

I think a Raphael catfish

I'd be cautious when adding the Raphael catfish with the Oscar. They have armor plating but I don't know if it would be a safe idea. Synodontis eurupterus can get large and will try to eat tank mates as they grow.

Those are all good choices it really just depends on how your oscar will react when I had them I added a fully grown 14 inch gar and the oscars will attempt to challenge anything you put on with him the gar being full grown held it's own and they lived fine together for years I don't know about he convict I heard they where super aggressive. That being said I should mention I had a 180g and not all the tank mates I had survived I was able to add two jacks but just about every other fish I tried something killed it sometimes it was the oscars something's the jacks or the gar got it either way once the tank is full ain't nobody new surviving at least from what I saw. So try it anything you want just know either the convict or he oscar might kill it. Just remember to rearrange be tank give the new fish a chance

Feather fin? I got a feather fin with my oscar he holds his own well

I think feather fin is same a synodontis eupterus? They get good size but IMO or experience are useless my dad has one that NEVER leaves the hollow log he hides in. The red tail shark does more bottom cleaning than he does. I'd ad a few clown loach but that size tank limits the number u can add. Maybe a few petricola is way to go.
