So I just got an old 40 gallon tank and am cycling it right now but I am not sure if how many fish I want to put in there is a problem. The fish I would like to put in are:
3x African cichlids (1 male, 2 female)
1x rainbow shark
1x bristlenose pleco
2x snails (I am not sure what type)
Would these fish likely kill each other or do you guys think it would be over crowded? Also would the snails procreate because I don’t really want thousands of baby snails all over the place.
Right now in the tank the substrate is crushed coral, for decor I have some rocks and some coral. I am planning on getting some plants and a piece of driftwood. Is there anything else I should plan on getting or any other suggestions?
